First blog post in the New Year!
As cliche as it is...and although I know the New Year tends to be over rated, I am excited to start all over.
This is all just kind of an excuse for people, like me, to tell ourselves we have a fresh start when every next day is technically a new start anyways. I am a little derpy at the moment, so hopefully whatever I type will still be sort of coherent.
I was and am excited for what 2015 will hold for me. Oh, Happy New Year!
I haven't blogged for a while...still sort of out of it.
I tried tumblr-ing, but that didn't work out well. I also tried just writing in a journal...and that didn't work out well either. So, I will try and blog here once in a while.
Already, the new year has been amazing.
I decided to set New Year Resolutions for myself and so far...I've completed two? I feel very blessed and happy I got to celebrate the last day with friends & loved ones and counted down with family (ish). That was amazing and definitely different from my usual stay-at-home-in-bed-by-myself routine I do during Christmas and New Years. In these last four days of the New Year...I learned to snowboard and I got to meet someone new.
I discovered how fun, refreshing, and thrilling night boarding is. It's amazing how not only did I learn to snowboard and did it during the morning (taking a morning bus and seeing the sunrise with friends...felt like a field trip in elementary!), but I got to snowboard at night. The view was spectacular and the people...the people were amazing. It was fun: filled with laughter and bruises!
While I am still suffering from a sore body and bruises covering everywhere...I got to meet someone important today. One of my close friend introduced me to someone special and I still can't stop smiling. It's such an honor I got to spend the day with them, getting to know them better and not just hear about her from him. Played monopoly deal, Wii Mario Party, ate xlb and shanghai food, got bubble tea, and watched one of my favorite movies. Made me so happy how much they enjoyed my recommendation and that they enjoy hearing my movie rant and all that! (I feel cool, yay! Reputation intact!) Today was just awesome. All my nerves I had building up yesterday died.
I know school starts soon, but I just can't wait to see what happens. Already, I have a few dates made for the upcoming few days and I just can't help but feel excitement! I also can't stop thinking about night boarding and feeling honored. Gahh!!
I also need to stop my shopaholic-ness though. Oh my gosh, don't get me started! ...I did another haul last night and now I am patiently looking out for a snowboarding jacket, goggles, gloves, and some base layers!
-sigh- That is definitely an issue! Must save up!
I just want to express my appreciation for everyone (who will not read this blog, haha) for making my winter break so amazing. I learned a lot of about the magic of the Christmas atmosphere and the importance of giving! This year was definitely focused on giving and my attempt to make things more personalized. Hopefully, my goal to reach everyone's feels worked. (:
Time for a new start to this year! Going to be crazy, but I can't wait to stack myself with lots of work and snowboard + be healthy (since I fat this winter!).
Good night,
J

Keeping Up With the ?? Family
Recently, my little brother has been sick...and now...it has come to the stage where I am in bed, sick as well. It's funny because my dad, whose been around my brother the most to take him to the doctors and pick him up from basketball (before his cold got worse) is perfectly fine. On the other hand, I was barely around him, and only see him when I go downstairs to get some tea or food.
-sigh- I also have this huge pile of readings I need to do in order to catch up...but I'm barely going through my modules for one course, and my assignments are still staying there waiting. Yes, I do go to school twice a week now (three hours in total), but I must say...two only courses might be the end of me... -sigh- let's hope things go well.
My procrastinating habits from before is sure easy to get back. I am knee deep into my jdrama and anime obsession...despite my mind being all over the place. I must say, rewatching things sure makes me happy...taking me back to the good ol' times.

maybe tsunami here?
living in an area that's under sea level, teachers through elementary and high school has been telling us...if we have a tsunami, we're going to turn into a puddle of mud...
after the recent panic on facebook status about the earthquake and potential tsunami news spreading around, it totally stirred the paranoia in my sister. emergency classes? yeah, going to be signing up.
i really don't know how i feel about this.
there was a moment where i started freaking out, like my sister, i packed up my favorite stuff animals and a few set of clothes, emergency food and etc. ....just in case.
that year they said we would have an earthquake or something.
in the end, nothing happened and every one cooled down again...never worrying. i remember how during SARS moment...everyone went to buy masks...during H1N1, every store was sold out of hand sanitize...
after that phase of panic, when nothing happened, every one went back to their usual routine...
huge amounts of bottled water being bought? that phase was over.
for one thing, i know my sister is always cautious and even when the phase died down, she was still slightly wary of it...not just completely ignoring the fact that there might be a chance.
and after news about hurricane sandy, i thought about what i would do if this piece of mud was covered in water?
what would i do? what would i grab first? what would i think of?
i was reading on facebook, if you haven't seen, the post about what Dr. Richard Teo said before he past away (R.I.P)...
it made me think i was thinking about my belongings and possessions first.
well, technically, i see my stuff animals as a part of my family that has been with me in the darkness...so i guess that doesnt count?
but if anything really happened, my sister and family would be what i think of first. the safety of those who are close to my heart...
after talking to a friend about another close friend who has gone away for school in the east coast...made me miss her even more. made me wish she was back so if anything happened in the east coast, i won't panic...and if anything happened here, she wouldn't be all alone there worrying.
so glad my dad is back for now. he's the chill kind of people that does not panic along with every one...ever. don't know if that's good or bad? at least i know one person in this household won't freak out and can actually think calmly.
anyhow...after all this information intake today, i am just grateful for the people i have around me. for the stuff animals i have and for the possessions i'm fortunate to own...
if anything does happen,
i think i will be happy if there's peace in my mind...worry-free. so please do that for me?
