the good luck in the bad luck?

So today and yesterday, I have been experiencing the worse of luck since a very long time.

If you know me well, you would know that I always misplace things all the time (my room is insanely messy and cluttered), especially my upass to bus.  Just my upass, I had four or five scares..."losing" it to find that I dropped it in the car when I got off the car or even just leaving it in my room. Oh, the failure.  I would end up frantically calling my dad and retracing my steps for twenty minutes or so to hear from my dad that it was on my desk or on the car seat. -facepalm-

Anyways, so as you can sort of tell from the foreshadowing...yesterday, on my way to the mountain to take my midterm, I dropped both my student ID and upass (and I just spontaneously bought a vinyl and was about to purchase another...wow...). An identification is required to take the exam so thank gosh for my driver's! That morning, I was also woken up 7 AM for no reason by my mom in panic.  She scared me like crazy to a point where I legit just shot up from my bed, thinking I overslept my midterm! (Which isn't a possibility since it's in the evening)
I also only had two eggs that day...since I spent the night with a grumbling stomach from having cheese...

As for today,  I overslept my tutorial, the only one of the two days I go to school.  I was also still sore all over my body, just aching (probably from stress and anxiety).

So what is the good luck in this bad luck?

Well, for yesterday, I managed to finish my midterm early and made it to the student registrar to get a new student ID.  There is also only two days left of February so I didn't really lose much, plus, I was able to get my upass without going up the mountain once more to get it.  I also finished the same time around as my friends and had some bus buddies to go home with. They waited for me to grab a sandwich as well so I got some food in me before going home to an empty house with an empty fridge (grocery shopping took place after, much later).

For today, turns out, tutorial was cancelled!  I actually forgot and just e-mailed my prof about the absence.  As embarrassing as that may be, at least I didn't bus all the way up to find out about that news!

Time for go finish up a lab! Good night with some sweet music :)

Being a Hermit For a Week in Bed

So, for almost a week, I have been at home dying from a cold that I probably got from my brother.  Runny nose, stuffy nose, sore throat and all that junk that requires me to have a tiny plastic bag next to my bed so I can constantly fill it with disgusting phlegm-covered tissues.  A little tmi, but anyways, thanks to this cold...I was able to catch up on some childhood anime and manga!  Yes, I have actually read a manga and finished this series with 31 volumes plus 26 episodes.  First off, I must point out that the anime and manga are very different.  I watched the anime back in elementary and the manga was only finished last summer in July 2013 I believe.  Before I forget, the anime/manga I am referring to is Gakuen Alice!

The anime is such a happy thing to watch (especially when I was sick in bed and no one wanted me around) with such a light-heart mood. It leans toward the comedic side, aimed for child viewers, while halfway through the actual manga, it takes a more dark and serious turn.  Despite craving for a second season to the anime, I know it's likely not going to be possible due to the drastic difference.  Anyhow, the manga was awesome...I ended up filling that tiny plastic bag with tissues soaked in tears, as well as killing my sleeves and stuff animals by spewing out tears everywhere.  Even now, after a few days, I still get pretty emotional when I think about the events that happened.  It's happy ending though, I guess, that gives you the closure you need (I even ended up reading the Chinese raws to fully get the ending).

Enough anime talk, I also should mention...I am so behind on my readings!  I tried my best to keep up with my online courses and actual course readings, but let's be honest...it's hard to focus when you're sick! The materials just won't absorb...it's surprising how I even manage to read through 2 modules (one extremely long week 3 module) and continue to follow up my goal of doing one module a day for my recently enrollment in a co-op workshop online session.  Essentially, I am taking 4 courses.  Anyways, so much for trying to be ahead of the course...

Discussion assignment going to be due, article analysis due next week and comp sci labs are due (one is tomorrow).  I am so dead...I think I ended up putting off comp sci so much is because of my previous html knowledge...from Neopets.  Time to focus I guess...(despite feeling so lonely and isolated this last week D: no time for freedom)

Back to the bed!

trying to maintain my good habits...

...is really hard.

attempting to sit through this sunday night and accomplish two homework..that aren't due tomorrow...a just a little that's due the day after tomorrow.
ah, the day after tomorrow...now i want to watch a movie.

after an afternoon of working: brewing coffee and making lattes and cappuccinos, i can easily convince myself i deserve a night in my cuddly, cozy bed...watching a movie or something before the disastrous midterm project week starts...continued by another midterm project week followed by another math midterm week.

surprised i'm able to start and be about 35% done my math assignment? math...my most despised subject.

i really do believe having a beautiful cover art, or just an image really does complete a song.  that's why i started getting into the habit of buying CDs and not just downloading one track.
fully experiencing what the artists originally intended for the audience really does add to the musical stimulation.
i just love those youtubers who adds a nice fitting picture with the instrumentals.
one, attracts my attention.
two, makes me keep the tab open and not sidetrack -- therefore, i actually listen to the track.
three, eye pleasing and ear pleasing :)

..hmmm..my blog feels dead.
