i think ; . . .

the moment you feel most alone, like you're the only one out and no one understands you, is not when you are alone in a room...
but when you're in a crowd of people, but you don't feel 'together'.

i think this disconnected feeling from people makes you feel so deserted and isolated. its unbearable.

guess it makes sense, right?

seeing everyone laughing and happy, but you're unable to feel the same or connect the same way.  it's an 'in-your-face-you-lonely-person' slap across your cheeks.

the isolation you have to experience though you're an arms reach away from another being, another connection.  whereas on the other hand, if you are physically alone...you can always think that it's because no one is around and you're alone.
but that idea, the little sparkle, that if there was someone to be with you, then you won't be alone...kind of makes you feel like it's not you, but it's the universe's fault.

in a crowd, that disconnection with everyone...there's no running away from the fact that there is something wrong with you because you can't connect...or there's something wrong with you because you're being excluded.

i think that's the most unbearable loneliness one can feel. at least this is what i think.

  1. haha i agree, but makes me think of a different kind of loneliness. xD i just finished watching children who chase lost voices from deep below (or something like that?) and this made me think of it again, because at one point the female protagonist exclaimed, "i was just so lonely!"

actually. it also made me think of a quote from Cinderella story -_- (shows you how many times i watched it..i remember despite it being so many years from now) "i can be surrounded by a sea of people and still feel alone"

:p i am still so in love with arrietty and its soundtrack. hopefully it'll cheer you up :D they fitted the film so well added that special magical touch *_*

(woah just googled her up and "Corbel sings in many languages including French, Italian, Breton, and English and has done songs in Irish, Turkish, and Japanese." so amazing haha)

and then i saw on the sidebar a, uh i guess live?, version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OczcAaZszHA and omg haha i love the way she speaks so soft and gentle. and her speaking voice is so diff from her singing voice! i really agree with her when she says "you have to watch the film several times to be able to see all the details [of arrietty's house]" amazing how much detail they put into everything, and i love love arrietty's room, it's soo nice! and omg 8( harp's so pretty, enchanted by her fingers, so long and elegant
