After the Reading Break..

So this was the first week of school after reading break and I think I am sort of adjusting well.  Still kind of in vacation/lazy mode where I am so not on top of my game with due dates, but I think I will manage.  A tad bit more on procrastinating and did pull a few all nighters before the first day of school to finish assignment, proposals and an essay, but it's all good.

And totally doing a bad job realizing next week is my first midterm of the semester and there's two more, plus another assignment, the week after.  And of course, another online group discussion summary that was brutal and drove my crazy last time. Something about me and group work.

Wish I stop procrastinating my anime watching and such, re watching things and not getting through my list, even for dramas. -sigh- This is why I never get things done! Also need to think about souvenirs for relatives...
And need to think about a whole bunch of things that's causing me a headache...literally.  How do you pick a time to do something "bad" or I guess ..not the best thing to do.. where there's never a good time to do it.  In the summer when there's time and freedom and no one will see you? Now, right away? Or later...and figure it out later.  I chose the last option a few times already -sigh- and it's making things worse..ugh.
Semi-sleepless nights!

Anyways, I also need to start adjusting my lifestyle since I am so out of shape! I have been so breathless from even just going downstairs. Oh, the embarrassment of running up to stairs to catch the skytrain...and then panting like a freak for 10 minutes after...-facepalm- oh gosh.

a sad day and i'm not okay

So my dad left this morning, I actually woke up super early to get dressed and such in order to grab a quick breakfast with my dad before his flight.  Unfortunately, unlike the usual routine, my sister had school and my brother had school so my dad's friend dropped him off and I had to say goodbye at home...and cry at home alone.  I ended up going back to sleep, as recommended by the papa bear, and woke up to an empty house. My mom went out too when she went to drop off my dad.  The instant effects of when my dad leaves was felt once I woke up...so I lulled myself back to sleep until 2 and kept trying to sleep every time I woke up.  That is, until I couldn't sleep anymore and sort of woke up around 4 or 5pm where I began watching youtube videos...and then opened my laptop to resume my drama marathons.

Finally, around 7pm or so, I decided to eat something and sort of get out of bed.  Despite still being in bed, I am wide awake and not productive.  So much for my plans on getting back to work.  I heard from my TA and e-mailed my ex-manager about some stuff...so cut me some slack. I will just mope and be sad and lonely for today, until tomorrow's brunch and after...a hard core essay prep cramming session.

-sigh- I miss my dad.

Being a Hermit For a Week in Bed

So, for almost a week, I have been at home dying from a cold that I probably got from my brother.  Runny nose, stuffy nose, sore throat and all that junk that requires me to have a tiny plastic bag next to my bed so I can constantly fill it with disgusting phlegm-covered tissues.  A little tmi, but anyways, thanks to this cold...I was able to catch up on some childhood anime and manga!  Yes, I have actually read a manga and finished this series with 31 volumes plus 26 episodes.  First off, I must point out that the anime and manga are very different.  I watched the anime back in elementary and the manga was only finished last summer in July 2013 I believe.  Before I forget, the anime/manga I am referring to is Gakuen Alice!

The anime is such a happy thing to watch (especially when I was sick in bed and no one wanted me around) with such a light-heart mood. It leans toward the comedic side, aimed for child viewers, while halfway through the actual manga, it takes a more dark and serious turn.  Despite craving for a second season to the anime, I know it's likely not going to be possible due to the drastic difference.  Anyhow, the manga was awesome...I ended up filling that tiny plastic bag with tissues soaked in tears, as well as killing my sleeves and stuff animals by spewing out tears everywhere.  Even now, after a few days, I still get pretty emotional when I think about the events that happened.  It's happy ending though, I guess, that gives you the closure you need (I even ended up reading the Chinese raws to fully get the ending).

Enough anime talk, I also should mention...I am so behind on my readings!  I tried my best to keep up with my online courses and actual course readings, but let's be honest...it's hard to focus when you're sick! The materials just won't absorb...it's surprising how I even manage to read through 2 modules (one extremely long week 3 module) and continue to follow up my goal of doing one module a day for my recently enrollment in a co-op workshop online session.  Essentially, I am taking 4 courses.  Anyways, so much for trying to be ahead of the course...

Discussion assignment going to be due, article analysis due next week and comp sci labs are due (one is tomorrow).  I am so dead...I think I ended up putting off comp sci so much is because of my previous html knowledge...from Neopets.  Time to focus I guess...(despite feeling so lonely and isolated this last week D: no time for freedom)

Back to the bed!

Keeping Up With the ?? Family

Recently, my little brother has been sick...and now...it has come to the stage where I am in bed, sick as well.  It's funny because my dad, whose been around my brother the most to take him to the doctors and pick him up from basketball (before his cold got worse) is perfectly fine.  On the other hand, I was barely around him, and only see him when I go downstairs to get some tea or food.

-sigh- I also have this huge pile of readings I need to do in order to catch up...but I'm barely going through my modules for one course, and my assignments are still staying there waiting.  Yes, I do go to school twice a week now (three hours in total), but I must say...two only courses might be the end of me... -sigh- let's hope things go well.

My procrastinating habits from before is sure easy to get back.  I am knee deep into my jdrama and anime obsession...despite my mind being all over the place.  I must say, rewatching things sure makes me happy...taking me back to the good ol' times.

math

i swear math will be the end of me.

for some reason, i just really suck at math. can't sit through it, can't accept it. haha.
despite understanding the concepts, i just don't have that "argh" to sit and practice...which is what everyone is telling me to do.

i know it's not math's problem (harhar) and it's mine...but i do hate math.

why do i need to know trigonometry?
why do i need to know how to do these functions? rational functions? polynomial?
why do i need to be able to proof trig identities?
why do i need to fine the equation containing the points (1, 8) and (-1, 6) that intersections with the circle with a radius of 2 centered at (7,14)?

i know, math is involved in our daily lives...working at a coffee shop and counting cash when i'm at the register...i know i need to do math.

-sigh- can't really rant on because i'm starting to sound more and more ridiculous...my arguments.
can't think properly...GAH!! -sips tea-

i know i shouldn't be obsessed because that's the point...but i want my starbucks rewards star :( need 2 more to stay green level!
once i get that gold star, and that gold card, i will be satisfied.

anyways, time to focus and practice. final tomorrow and watch me yip yip hoorayyy!!

first all nighters since?

ended up staying up till 7am and thinking i will get only 1 hour of sleep..i overslept my math class, then my 102 lecture, and finally my 100 lecture. i woke up and since my mom busted in my room, but then passed out....

dang, i'm too old for this.

had work today and sleep and tired...sore all over, but that medium iced latte i made myself is keep me up to finish my math homework and 102 deliverable until i pass out for good.
definitely not missing my lab...my presentation day.

-sigh- not too bad. have some mogwai music to keep me company and more tea.

sporting this awful cold sore on my tongue...definitely going to tone down on the cold drinks and start intaking more liquid to keep hydrated! also, need more sleep. i hope that's the reason for my sudden bursts of pimples (no worries, it's not that horrid), but yeah...

need:
to eat
to drink water
to sleep
to rest and watch anime!

to do homework :(

almost le sister's birthday and totally excited!! -- one thing though, really annoyed with how i'm getting the feeling of people changing around me. like not the growing up change...or the influence from others change...but the: "Hi, I just met you and this is crazy...but I think you're awesome. So friend me maybe?" -a few convo later...."...I crossed my heart and I hoped to die, that I'll only talk to you one more time..."

haha, okay, sorry about the lame lyric lines.....
but yeah. is it my personality driving people away? :( -- any who, no time for that...me papa is coming back in 2 days! pretty crazy.

do drop by to visit me at work if you want me to make you half decent free coffee (maybe)?

stumped.

I finally decided to do my science homework and realized I'm stumped. I have no idea what to write. The homework assignment is to write a response to support my decision on which poster (in the textbook) is effective and which poster is ineffective. I'm definitely not in the mood to do any of this, nor will I ever be.

Tommorow I have to go to school earlier to do library monitor so I SHOULD be sleeping earlier. My dad is kind of upset with me since I was watching anime last night...2am in the morning. Haha. Lack of sleep is causing me to be more demented. Sigh.

Anyways, I kind of wished I went to see the Olympic torch arrive and be lit up. I guess watching it for myself will probably be much more heart moving than just hearing about it. Sadly, I was napping when the torch arrived, what a waste. I never planned to go since I'm not exactly good with crowds.

1. My short height allows me to be pushed easily
2. I'm somewhat claustrophobic.

Anyways, at least I'm alive?
Perhaps I will go and watch the Olympic torch another time. Haha, I'll find a way. Anyways, I shall go and lurk around. Maybe ask some blue birds what they did for science?

pockymeji.

after a nap.

I took a nap today! I have skipped my naps for 2 days and it feels AWFUL. Well, this time, it was not 4 hours or 6 hours...but instead 3 hours. Haha.

I kind of woke up to the sound of fireworks since today, the olympic torch came here. Sadly, by the time the fireworks woke me up, it was over.

Anyways, I SHOULD be doing my science homework, but instead, I was on deviantart art stalking once again! Many people are so amazing. Sigh - I'm going on deviantart to get my ego stroked. Haha.

My friend is an amazing artist, although she's being SO modest and not admitting it. If you want, check her out on deviantart. Her user is Kataruki.

alarm clocks can walk now.

Another entry of complain. Supposedly, I should be doing my math homework, but instead...I was thinking about alarm clocks. I was thinking I should set my alarm to 5 am in the morning so I can wake up to shower before I forget. Turning around from my desk, I look at my bed shelf, where I usually put my alarm clock, and realize it's missing. Usually, my sibling, Fat Guy, would take things from my room without asking. He took my alarm clock once even though I said no. Only did he return when I made a fuss over it and kicked him. After I just stormed into Fat Guy's room (not exactly loudly storm since it's 1:45 am in the morning), I checked to see if that alarm clock was there. Indeed, there was an alarm clock. Fat Guy states that it was given to him by dad. I, whose ticked off, asks my dad why did he give my alarm clock to Fat Guy and that I need to wake up early. He says it's because I left the alarm clock on this table (as in to say I don't need it.)

YEAH, RIGHT! Why would I, who uses my alarm clock every day, leave the alarm clock on the table? It's ALWAYS (I can swear to God) on my bed shelf! I angrily left my dad's room and went to my room to set my ipod to 5 am. Yes, I do use my ipod to wake me up, which is the reason why I have hearing problems and my brain damage is greater.

My dad went to go find the so-called 'alarm-clock-i-left-on-the-table'. He returned to my room with the clock, but with my horrible temper, I refused...still mad. I continued to set my ipod as my dad rants about throwing the clock away and blah blah blah blah.

I ignored him, messing with my ipod. He then chuck the alarm clock at me instead. The alarm hit my wrist, leaving a tiny red mark (that will eventually be a little bruise) on me. Now, it lays on the floor after being thrown in anger by me, ticking and tocking, next to the cellphone I threw on the floor.

What I learned: I'm very messed up 1 am in the morning & nowadays, alarm clocks can walk.

pockymeji.
